A "Wal*Mart Wedding"?
I was wandering around Wal*Mart today, buying random things for a hobby of mine, when I wandered down an aisle full of bridal things! They had everything from invitation kits to flower petals, to guestbooks, to a full faux white rose bouquet! would it look tacky to use a bunch of stuff from Wal*Mart at my wedding in a couple years? or would anyone really notice?

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at the same time, I would like to say that my wedding day will not be the MOST important day of my life, because that just continues my commitment to my man. If we are talking commitment-wise, the most important day of my life was when I realized I loved him, when I decided that I would never leave him. Thats the most important day of my life.

Many of the Walmart items they carry are the Wilton brand, such as the guest book, etc. These are the same items that you can find in other craft stores like Michaels.
I see nothing wrong with buying lower end items such as a guest book, flower girl basket, tulle, favor boxes, etc. from Walmart (or even the dollar store!) These are things most people do NOT notice.
Only because I love fresh flowers would I not buy the flower bouquet from Walmart....but to each their own!
You can also special order FRESH flowers from Walmart (with a 7-day advance notice.) This would be a GREAT cost savings. Although, of course, you need to bring them home and do the arranging.
Walmart also has great cakes!! Yummy. But, again, they do NOT deliver, so you need to pick it up and transport it to the reception venue and set it up.
