i personally like white and my shoes were of the lacy variety, i was married in June. I've had friends married in boots (winter) and in sandals (summer). I think just having a huge variety is the key. I also personally prefer 1-2" heels only because I'm not short and I'm more comfortable in staying in that heel all night.
