Should a bridesmaid back out of a wedding once she finds out that she will be 81/2 months pregnant on the day?
She was not pregnant when asked to be in the wedding. She already bought her dress, and now has found out that the dress is no longer being made in the color that the bride has chosen. The bride's and her future mother in law thinks that she should stay in the wedding and that she will be fine on the day. After all she was.
Having to stand and take pictures and all that might pretty uncomfortable for someone that far along. If it were me, I would rather be sitting in a pew then standing up front while 8.5 months pregnant. God forbid and knock on wood but bridesmaid could be on bed rest by then or go into labor early.
At 8.5 months, she will be nearly ready to go. I'd hate for the stress of a wedding be put on her then. I think it'd be safer is she stepped down. I'm sure the bride and MIL are concerned too but don't want to be the ones to make that kind of decision and exclude her just for being pregnant.
