How do you wind trimming cord for an electric string trimmer? Craftsman 4.6 amp model 745300.?
There is no booklet ( yardsale) & it seems something is missing ( a cover).
Without knowing the size of "string", I can only recommend that you contact a Sears Repair Shop, most cities have at least one, they will tell you the string size to buy. To replace it you have two options....A. buy a replacement cartridge (most exspensice) B. buy the line recommended, turn your trimmer over, and remove the piece that holds the string, you usually just have to push it in and turn it, some may require locking it and then unscrewing.....after it is off, if you look closely there will be arrows telling you the direction in which to wind the new string, when it is full, thread it through the hole and screw it back on. It is usually only a quarter or half turn to screw or unscrew.
