Here are some more information for Cummerbund Black:

A cummerbund might be something you have never heard of and most recently heard of and was curious about which is the reason why you are reading this article. Most people think that it is a musical instrument when they first hear of it. But, no, it is not. A cummerbund is a wide and expansive waist sash or waistband that is typically pleated and often worn with single-breasted jackets or tuxedos. It was first embraced by British officers in India, probably taken from Indian sash being used by men. It spurred a lot of curiosity which later on turned into a fashion wildfire.
In modern days of fashion, cummerbunds became an important essential in formal and semi-formal suits and tie code of attire. It is a sort of wide cloth around the waist and comes in different colors such as black, blue, and dark maroon. Most men prefer to wear it to complement or match their trousers and their bowties. Cummerbunds have pleats facing up and being contemporarily used as an accent to the overall formal attire, and acts as a sort of transition between the trouser and shirt. Most times, a cummerbund is fastened by a ribbon at the back or with a buckle, and most recently, with Velcro.
Cummerbunds tend to keep up with the latest fashion trends, so it is now quite ordinary to see them matched with ties in all arrays of colors, however, still not acceptable for the so called fashion police. Some musicians broke the taboo also by wearing them with a white tie, in replacement of a customary Marcella waistcoat.
Here are a couple of tips on how to properly wear a cummerbund.
Make sure you know what kind of occasion you are going to wear a suit and cummerbund to. There are attire requirements for weddings, whereas for dinner parties there is less. Also keep in mind that fashion changes with the season, holidays and weather, so choose a color according to what is acceptable.
If you are attending an event before late afternoon, you may wear morning attire, which means you do not have to wear a cummerbund.
For selecting colors, it is always safe to choose simple and solid colors because they will add elegance to your attire, instead of making you look tacky. If you are going to a wedding, you can choose a color that accents your other accessories such as your tie or kerchief. But if you are unsure, and not quite confident to use other colors, then go for a classic black. With it you can never go wrong.
Your trousers should be one with a high waist that is going to be covered by the cummerbund. It is not acceptable to have your waistband exposed if you have a cummerbund on.
And of course, make sure that you tuck and attach it well so that it will not slide off which could become an embarrassing incident for you. Cummerbunds are a symbol of elegance and of being a true gentleman, so you must choose well if you intend to wear one.
Cummerbunds are perfect for modern day fashion. Get them from DQT's range of cummerbunds.
Dress Code Deciphered
Understanding the dress code listed on party invitations can sometimes seem like a difficult task. What does “cocktail dress” mean? How is “black tie” different from “white tie”? Here is the “cracked code” of dress codes to help you know what to wear to which party.
Most people understand that a black tie event means a formal party. Black tie means “men wear tuxedos, women wear cocktail or long dresses or dressy separates. Some people use “formal attire” instead of black tie on their invitations, but the term essentially means the same thing. White tie is even more formal than black tie, with the men in “full dress, with white tie, vest, [and] shirt.” Long formal gowns are the appropriate category for women. Some party invitations might specify “black tie optional”. This doesn’t mean to show up in jeans if you feel like it, but that suits or tuxedos are both acceptable. A woman’s clothing choice is the same for black tie or black tie optional event. A trendier choice that is also beginning to become more popular is “creative black tie.” This means either going with a theme for your formal event or a more fashionable version of the classic tuxedo. Whether a dark suit paired with cowboy boots and hat or a tuxedo with no tie and a large southwestern belt buckle in place of the cummerbund, creative black tie is a fun way to play with formal clothing.
“Semi-Formal or After Five means that tuxes are not required, nor are long dresses.” Business formal is an alternate way of expressing this dress code. Suits and either cocktail dresses or formal separates are suitable choices for a semi-formal event. Most company holiday parties and daytime weddings fall into this category. The underlying message is “nothing too slinky or sexy”, but nice outfits that are fitting for an office. Although many people interpret “informal” as jeans, it is actually synonymous with semi-formal for special events. Shorter, formal dresses such as a little black dress are the popular choice for “cocktail attire” parties. Suits, especially dark ones fall into this category as well.
“Dressy Casual calls for dressed-up versions of casual looks. For him, it could be trousers and a sportcoat, for her a dressy pants look. Jeans, shorts, T-shirts and other casual looks are not appropriate for Dressy Casual.” Casual dress is defined as “anything goes” attire with sweatpants even being an acceptable choice should you choose. Hopefully, understanding which attire matches what party will ease some of the stress of preparation and anticipation of the holiday party season.

Does the father of the bride have to wear a black suit, or match the groomsman?
My dad wants to be differentiated from the groomsman, and he wants to wear a white tuxedo with black pinstripes, a black cummerbund, black tie, and black shoes. I am wearing a bright white dress (not ivory). Is this okay for him to be in a lot of white as well??
why not ..... Weddings are soooo unique & creative these days. Its ok to be different, you dont have to be traditional or ordinary
Congrats
Ahh, but I would suggest something other then white . it will take away from your dress if he wears white (in my opinion)
