What should a flower girl carry at a civil ceremony?
Hello Yahooers! I am getting married civilly in a couple of weeks and I need to decide if we'll have a procession entrance. I am leaning towards having my dad walk me in and all that stuff. Now, what I don't know is what I should have my flower girl carry? Top choices are flowers, candles (but its a day wedding, so not to keen on that) or a basket with petals. These are all nice ideas, not very original but I am not a super original person, but perhaps someone out there can help me disguise that fact and advise me on something?

There isn't usually an entourage if you marry at the courthouse, no bridesmaids, no flower girl. You can fill a room with witnesses, of course, but if you want to do some of the traditional parts, why not have the flower girl bear the rings instead. If you marry in a religious building it's a religious wedding I would think, but I'm 40 and a batchelor so I have no idea, eh?
