After spending nine months with the Pearl Demon Drive Double Pedal, I now feel fully equipped to provide a well-informed review of the durability of the pedal. Although, first impressions are key with any new drum equipment, sometimes it takes time to fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of something.
I'd first like to state that over the past 9 months, I have not had a single problem with the Pearl Demon Drive Double Pedal. Nothing has ever fallen apart and no screws have come off. The adjustments, for the most part, remain intact until I choose to adjust them. Even after heavy play, the settings on some pedals have the tendency to shift over time (e.g. beater angle, spring tension, etc.)
This is simply not the case with the Demon Drive. Once you have found a setting and locked it in, that setting will not alter even after extended use. This can in part be attributed to Pearl's exceptional design of the pedal and the use of top-of-the-line equipment. Another part of this would be the memory lock features on many aspects of the pedal.
For instance, when you adjust the Spring Tension, there is a click lock at the bottom of the spring which locks in your desired tension setting. It ensures that once you've tightened or loosened the springs, the springs stay in the desired tension by locking the spring nuts in place.
Secondly, the factory beaters that come with the Pearl Demon Drive Double Pedal are a marvel in themselves. Not only do they have innovative design features (control core to prevent unnecessary beater vibrations) but they have a long life span. Now I am a very heavy player, that plays in a metal band. I use these double pedal very extensively. It has been nine months of heavy play and touring, and the beaters are only showing some signs of wear now. So not only do these beaters offer exceptional performance, they last a long time. Plus, since they have a circular design, I can just flip them around if one side gets too beat up anyways. These beaters are perfect for heavy bass drum hitters such as myself.
In the end, I found myself very pleased with the craftsmanship of the Demon Drive Double Pedal. It utilizes state-of-the-art technology to provide one of the most versatile and reliable pedals on the market. I would highly recommend it for players that take their double pedal playing very seriously and want to take their drumming to the next level.

Have you ever read it? I just read the first two pages but it doesn't seem to be so engaging.
It's a light read. I thought the story was alright, though I wouldn't call it one of my favourite books. I didn't really like the ending, but the girl's relationship with the painter was fascinating. It was like a forbidden, unackowledged love. The movie, they say, was really bad though.
