My kid's school has a long car line every evening for student pickup by parents. Anyone has a better idea?
My kid's school has a long car line every evening for student pickup by parents. Parents are not allowed to park at the parking area and then walk to pick up the child because the parking lot is not that big. However, I see some parents wait in their running car for 30 minutes. The line has at least 50 cars long. I don't think it environmental friendly. Anyone has a better idea? Any other school has a different but better arrangement?

I agree with you that this is a bad situation and I can only suggest that a) you set up a pick up point away from that area, b) you have your kids get involved in extracurricular activities after school that would alter their pick up time, or c) get with friends who also have kids that go there and take turns picking up several children rather than just your own.
