What is a good store (nation wide) to buy a pagent dress for a toddler?
My 2 1/2 yr old daughter is going to be in the county fair Wee Miss Pagent in October. They said that she needs a party dress. What exactly does "party dress" mean? And where is a good store to buy one at?
I really don't care if anyone agrees with me or not. It is my choice. You know, I once asked a question about piercing a little girls ears before she was old enough to ask for it, and had tons of people saying their was nothing wrong with doing that, but heaven forbid you put your daughter in a beauty pagent, cause if you do your a bad parent and are selfish. Please!!! She is beautiful and I want others to see how beautiful she is. If you don't like the idea of pagents then don't put your kids in one. This is my daughter, not yours.
I just had to chime in because of the "negative' comments.....My oldest daughter, now 10, was in pageants when she was tiny. She won state and nationals at a year old. To this day she's quite proud of her trophies and crowns!
My mom made most of her pageant outfits, but the one I did buy (my mom embellished it) was just a basic white dress we bought at one of those hole-in-the-wall shops....lol....a party dress for a 2YO would be something knee-length or shorter and lots of frills. I'd recommend staying away from too much color. As another poster mentioned, bridal boutiques might be a good option. Not sure where you live, but those shops the mexicans have (I'm not being derrogatory here...I'm hispanic) are a great place too look. And their generally fairly inexpensive.
