What is best for my wedding aisle? Fresh rose petals, freeze dried, dried or silk?
I want a rose petal aisle for me to walk down on our wedding day but have concerns about using fresh petals (have heard they can stain my dress). I've looked into freeze dried but it seems quite pricey as i want a pretty thick carpet of petals. I doubt they would allow silk as it is a garden ceremony and silk wouldn't be biodegradable, and i don't like the look of dried petals.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
i agree, couldnt you arrange for someone to rake the petals up after? i think that silk will be the best option if youre wanting a thick layerof petals!
but also consider that if youre aisle is only made of petals then as you walk over then your dress is going to drag them everywhere! maybe consider getting a red (or whatever colour) carpet, the length of the aisle? then pin silk roses randomly over the carpet? this way you can have the effect of scattered petals but it can just be rolled up afterwards? no mess and the same effect?
