You will get good and bad feedback on your skills. The good feedback will encourage you to keep going and the criticism will show you the areas you need to improve.
5. Use your new found skill of playing guitar to express how you feel and use passion when you play. You will not believe how fulfilling this can be.
6. Work towards practicing in front of a handful of people. This will help with confidence. If you get to where you practice in front of people and mess up you will learn to deal with embarrassment.
7. Learning easy pieces of music is OK. It is all part of the journey and it also helps build confidence.
Learning guitar is like anything else in life that is worth doing. If you look at the whole picture of all the practice that it will take it will be overwhelming. Take baby steps and start the journey. Play with passion and let the guitar take your life in a whole new direction.
If you enjoy your practice time it shows in your performances and people will enjoy listening to you.
